Most SVG-to-PDF converters take a screenshot and wrap it in a PDF. Zoom in and you see pixels. This page translates the shapes themselves — paths stay paths, so the file prints at whatever resolution the printer can manage.

SVG to PDF FAQ

Why did my text change font?

The PDF only carries the standard built-in fonts, which are Latin-only. Anything else gets substituted, and non-Latin scripts may not appear at all. The reliable fix is to convert text to outlines in your vector editor before exporting — then the letters are shapes and nothing can substitute them.

My gradients or filters look wrong

Vector translation covers the common cases, but exotic filters and some gradient types have no PDF equivalent. Turn on “Rasterize instead” — the artwork goes in as a high-resolution bitmap, which always looks right but is no longer scalable.

Which page size should I use?

“Match the SVG” makes the page exactly the size of the artwork — the right choice for labels, stickers and anything going to a cutting machine. “Fit to A4” centres it on a standard sheet with a margin for ordinary printing.

Are linked images included?

Images embedded as data URIs are. Images linked to a remote URL are not — they are never fetched, which is also why nothing about your file leaves this device.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The PDF is built in your browser and the SVG never leaves this device.
