Fill in a form where the boxes are
Tax forms, applications, registrations and HR paperwork usually arrive as PDFs with fillable fields — boxes you can type into, checkboxes, radio buttons and drop-down lists. Not every PDF reader lets you fill and save them, and most online tools show a list of cryptic field names instead of the form itself. Here each field is placed exactly over the page it belongs to, so you fill it in as you would on paper and download the result.
Answers are written into the form fields themselves, so the saved file is still a real form: it can be opened and corrected later, and the values can be read by the system you send it to. Tick flatten when you want a final copy that cannot be changed. Anything you type — Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese or accented Latin — is shown correctly, even though most PDF software can only draw a small set of Western characters in form fields.

How to fill a PDF form
01
Open the form
Drop the PDF in. Every page is shown with its fillable fields highlighted in blue. The document is read in your browser and never uploaded.
02
Type and tick
Click into a box to type, tick checkboxes, choose radio options and pick from drop-downs. Fields that appear in several places — a name repeated on every page — update together.
03
Save editable or flattened
Download the filled form as it is, still editable, or tick flatten to lock the answers into the page. Your original file is not changed.

Fill PDF form FAQ
Why does it say my PDF has no fillable fields?
Many forms are just pictures of a form: the boxes are drawn on the page but there are no fields behind them. Those cannot be filled here. You can still place a signature with Sign PDF, or print the form and fill it by hand.
Can I type in Chinese, Japanese, Thai or Vietnamese?
Yes. Standard PDF form fonts only cover Western characters, which is why some tools save blank boxes or refuse. Here such text is drawn with your browser’s fonts so it displays correctly, and the actual characters are still stored as the field value.
What does flatten do?
It merges your answers into the page and removes the form fields, so nobody can change them in a PDF reader afterwards. Leave it off if you or the recipient may need to edit the form later.
Is my form uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened, filled and saved entirely inside your browser, and the finished file goes straight to your downloads. Tax and identity forms stay on your device.
Some government forms show a “please wait” message instead of fields. Why?
Those are XFA forms, an older Adobe-only format that most PDF software cannot display. If the file also contains standard fields they will appear here; if it contains only XFA, open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Can I sign the form too?
Signature boxes are not filled here. Fill the form, download it, then open the result in Sign PDF to draw your signature onto the signature line.
Will the answers be readable by the organisation I send it to?
Yes, as long as you do not flatten it. The values are saved in the form fields exactly as typed, which is what automated systems read.
Can I fill a password-protected PDF?
No. Encrypted files cannot be opened here. Remove the password in the application that created the file, then fill the unlocked copy.
