OneImageTool ("we", "us", or "our") operates the OneImageTool website and browser-based image utilities (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We design our core image tools to process files locally in your browser. We do not upload your images, GIFs, or other media files to our servers for conversion, compression, or editing in Phase 1 unless a specific tool page clearly states otherwise.
We may collect the following types of information:
- Usage and log data — such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring URL, and timestamps, collected automatically when you access the Services.
- Analytics data — if enabled, through services such as Google Analytics, including page views and interaction events. See "Analytics" below.
- Information you voluntarily provide — such as text you type into generators (QR codes, barcodes, vCard fields) or contact messages. This data is processed in your browser for tool output and is not stored on our servers unless you submit it through a contact form or account feature we may add later.
- Cookies and similar technologies — limited cookies for site functionality, language preference, or analytics. See "Cookies" below.
How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
- Understand how visitors use our tools and fix errors.
- Respond to inquiries and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
Local processing — your files stay on your device
For standard image tools (compress, resize, convert, crop, filters, and similar), processing happens in your browser using JavaScript and Canvas. Your files are not sent to our servers for those operations.
You are responsible for saving exported results. We do not retain copies of your processed images on our systems.
Log data
Like most websites, our servers automatically record log data when you visit pages — including IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use this data for security, debugging, and aggregate statistics.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics or similar services to understand traffic patterns and tool usage. These providers may use cookies and collect information according to their own privacy policies.
Where possible, we configure analytics to respect privacy-friendly settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics via browser extensions or Google's opt-out tools.
Cookies
We use cookies and local storage sparingly. Phase 1 free tools generally do not require login cookies. We may use:
- Essential cookies — for language selection, session stability, or security.
- Analytics cookies — to measure site usage if analytics is enabled.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some site features.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry standard for responding to DNT. We do not currently alter our practices based on DNT signals alone.
Service providers
We may use third-party companies to host the website, deliver analytics, or provide customer support. These providers access personal information only to perform tasks on our behalf and must protect it consistent with this policy.
Data retention and deletion
Server log data is retained for a limited period necessary for security and operations, then deleted or aggregated.
Because we do not store your image files on our servers for local tools, there is typically no image data to delete on our side. If you contact us regarding personal data we hold (such as support correspondence), you may request access, correction, or deletion where applicable law provides those rights.
International transfers
If you access the Services from outside our hosting region, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws. By using the Services, you consent to such transfers where permitted by law.
Links to other sites
Our Services may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies.
Children's privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we control. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
