no printer needed
Someone sends you a contract, a lease or a consent form and asks for it back signed. The usual routine is print, sign, scan, email — ten minutes and a printer you may not have. Here you draw your signature with a mouse, a trackpad or your finger, drag it onto the signature line, and download the signed file. If you already have a signature on paper, take a photo of it instead: the white paper is removed so only the ink lands on the page.
The signature is added as a small image on top of the page you choose. Nothing else in the document is rewritten, so its text stays selectable and searchable, and links and form fields keep working. You can flip through the pages to find the right one, resize the signature to fit the line, or repeat it on every page when a form asks for initials throughout.
three steps
Drop the file in. It opens on the last page, where signature lines usually are, and you can page back to any other. The document is read in your browser and never uploaded.
Sign in the pad on the right, or upload a photo of your signature. It appears on the page — drag it onto the line and set its width so it looks natural next to the printed text.
The signature is embedded at exactly the spot you chose, including on pages stored sideways in the file. A new PDF is saved; your original stays as it was.
quick answers
It is an electronic signature — an image of your handwritten mark — which many everyday agreements accept, much like a signed scan. It is not a certificate-based digital signature that proves the file has not changed since signing. When a contract or authority requires that kind, use the signing service they specify.
No. The PDF is opened, signed and saved entirely inside your browser, and the finished file goes straight to your downloads. There is no server behind this tool to receive it.
Yes. Sign on plain white paper in dark ink and photograph it in good light. Light pixels are turned transparent, so the paper disappears and only the strokes are placed. Heavy shadows can leave a grey edge — retake the photo in brighter light if that happens.
Tick the option to put the signature on every page, which suits forms that want initials on each sheet. It lands in the same relative position on every page, each measured on its own.
Yes. Draw the signature with your finger and drag it into place on the page. A larger width is often easier to position on a small screen — you can shrink it afterwards.
Yes. Only the signature image is added; the page content underneath is untouched, so text can still be selected, searched and copied.
Each page is measured with the rotation stored in the file, so the signature ends up where you put it in the preview and the right way up, even on a page saved sideways.
No. Encrypted files cannot be opened here. Remove the password in the application that created the file, then sign the unlocked copy.
