split PDF
Cut a PDF into separate documents — by page ranges, one file per page, or in fixed-size chunks. The plan is listed before you export, so you always know what you are about to get.

A split that is off by one page produces files that open perfectly and are simply wrong — the appendix starts one page early, the last chunk is missing its final page. Nothing errors out, so the mistake usually surfaces days later in somebody else's inbox.
That is why this tool lists the plan first: every file it is about to create, with the exact pages that go into it, updated as you type. Ranges are validated as you go, and a bad range says which part it could not read instead of just refusing.
three steps
Drop in a PDF — its page count appears straight away.
Page ranges, one file per page, or a fixed number of pages each.
One file downloads directly; several arrive as a ZIP.
quick answers
Comma-separated, one file per range: 1-3,5,8-12. A single number is a single page, 7- means page 7 to the end, and -4 means the first page to page 4. Each range becomes its own file.
Overlapping ranges are fine — the same page can appear in two output files. Backwards ranges like 5-2 are rejected rather than silently reversed, because that is almost always a typo.
Because the split produced more than one file. A split that produces exactly one file downloads as a plain PDF — no unnecessary unzipping.
After the original: single-page files get the page number, such as report-page7.pdf, and multi-page files are numbered by part, such as report-part2.pdf.
No. The PDF is read and split inside your browser, and the results are generated locally. Nothing is sent anywhere.
No. Encrypted PDFs are rejected with a clear message — remove the password in your PDF reader first, then come back.
