When a JPG is the right export
JPG is what older tools, print shops and some upload forms still expect. Rasterizing the vector at 2× or 4× gives you a file big enough that the compression never shows.
The one thing JPG cannot do is transparency, so every transparent pixel has to become a real colour. Pick that colour here rather than discovering black edges after the export.
