Splitting goes wrong quietly
A split that is off by one page produces files that open perfectly and are simply wrong — the appendix starts one page early, the last chunk is missing its final page. Nothing errors out, so the mistake usually surfaces days later in somebody else's inbox.
That is why this tool lists the plan first: every file it is about to create, with the exact pages that go into it, updated as you type. Ranges are validated as you go, and a bad range says which part it could not read instead of just refusing.
